2006-05-05 [Child of God]: . . . hehe . . . oops . . . ^-^'
2006-05-06 [Kaimee]: Brilliant :D Is it uploaded anywhere here yet?
2006-05-06 [Kiddalee]: ***points at thread*
2006-05-06 [Kaimee]: Hehe, I already saw your reply in the forum, I like the story but don't understand it. Which is the way I like short stories to be ;)
2006-05-06 [Kiddalee]: I don't, but it's not like I'm going to keep the story in a way I don't like just to win your contest (and now I'm worried that I'll surely lose for changing it. Why'd you go and tell me that?). I don't see where the ambiguity is, though.
2006-05-06 [Kaimee]: Heh. Where's the ambiguity? Why is she crying? What's the point of the story? What are you trying to get across? Why did you write it?
2006-05-06 [Kiddalee]: You like not knowing those things? I thought that was one reason why the story isn't great.
2006-05-06 [Kaimee]: I like what it makes me think of, trying to figure it out. The fact that I can't think of the reason you wrote it, but it obviously means something to you. I hate straight forwards pieces.
2006-05-06 [Kiddalee]: The funny thing is that I didn't actually mean to make it ambiguous. I just did a weak job of turning an episode of my life into a narrative, then added some teacher pleasers. Me, I don't like essays in disguise as stories or poems. Sometimes straightforwar
2006-05-07 [Kaimee]: So cut it down and write it again, the way you want to :P And I don't think it's the literary devices that make this story ambiguous, or even that you did a weak job. It obviously means something to you, and I have no idea what it is. I think that's what I find ambiguous. I don't understand what happened, why it happened, or why you wrote it. Therefore I don't really think I understand anything about it, and find it ambiguous ;)
2006-05-07 [Kiddalee]: So it's your fault you find it ambiguous?
2006-05-07 [Kaimee]: Why fault? Why is being ambiguous a fault?
2006-05-07 [Kiddalee]: Okay, if you're going to be nitpicky, is it by your own doing that you find it ambiguous?
2006-05-07 [Kaimee]: If we're going to be nitpicky, I'd say it could only be by your doing, as you wrote it ;) Your job to guide the readers mind where you want it.
2006-05-07 [Kiddalee]: I was only asking... Seeing as you said that it wasn't because of the way I wrote it that you found it hard to understand.
2006-05-07 [Kaimee]: No no, it wasn't because of the literary devices. I just outright do not understand what's happening. Why are you crying? What's the significance? What is the story actually about?? None of that seems to have gotten across to me. I have no idea if it immediately makes sense in the minds of others, I just.. found no reason for anything, including why it was written. And instead of assuming that you just have no reason, I'm assuming the story is ambiguous ;)
2006-05-08 [Kaimee]: xD
2006-05-09 [Winkx]: Is there a deadline?
2006-05-10 [Kaimee]: Not yet. I want to see what speed everyone's moving at first. I myself am pretty busy as well, so I wouldn't mind a rather distant deadline ;)
